So this is basically a quick review of a few skincare & beauty products I have finished over the past few months. I know there isn't a huge amount of makeup but that's because I am continuously buying new products and actually very rarely finish any of them!!!!! Eye Makeup Removers: - I LOVE smokey eyes and lashings of mascara so a good eye makeup remover is essential for me. I think the biphase formulas are much more efficient at removing stubborn liner/mascara so that's what I tend to stick to. So in no particular order these are the ones I have been using over the past couple of months: Garnier Express 2 in 1 Eye Makeup Remover (125ml €4.50 approx, available in pharmacies nationwide) - Fantastic, does the job brilliantly without leaving any greasy residue. Have repurchased this a number of times. Botanics Soothing Eye Makeup Remover All Bright (150ml €5.99 approx, available in Boots) - Another great one. Lifts mascara and liner away easily. Can be slightly oily but because I remove my eye makeup first this isn't a problem. I just bought a new bottle of this but have been reading that they changed the formula so I'm hoping it works aswell as my last one did. Elemis White Flowers Eye & Lip Makeup Remover (125ml €28.80 approx, available on www.feelunique.com.). I actually only had a travel size of this but it was perfect to bring on holidays with me. I try and use waterproof/sweat-proof/heatproof products on holidays to prevent my makeup melting off but they are always harder to remove. However this little bottle made quick work of everything leaving me with no panda eyes in the morning. This is a great one for your skincare routine if you have the budget for it. Vichy Pureté Thermale Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover (150mls €14.99 approx, available in pharmacies nationwide). Another great all rounder. Works on waterproof mascara and doesn't irritate my eyes. That's eye makeup removers sorted so it's on to skin cleansers now. Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm (125ml €29 available in Clinique stockists nationwide). I LOVE this stuff...You just scoop out a small amount warm it between your hands where it changes to an oil and apply all over the face. It melts off all your makeup even mascara. Well worth the price tag and definitely a repurchase for me. Bioderma Micelle Solution (250ml €14.50 approx, available in selected pharmacies nationwide). I can't fault this...it is great at cleansing and removing makeup. But to be honest the Garnier Miceller Water does the exact same job at a fraction of the cost. L'Oreal Skin Perfect 15 Second Miracle Cleansing Oil (150ml €10.50 approx, available in pharmacies nationwide). Another great makeup remover. Two pumps, apply all over the face including lips & lashes and then remove with a damp facecloth. Ta Dah! All signs of makeup are gone. It does contain mineral oil though but to be honest it's not on your skin long enough to cause much damage. Will be repurchasing!!! Next up is Serums: I would highly recommend using a serum...I actually think they are more important than moisturiser. I use a serum to treat my skin problems (in my case dehydration/aging) day & night and don't mind investing a little money in a good quality one. Vichy Idéalia Life Serum (30mls €34.99 approx, available in pharmacies nationwide). This is a nice enough product but to be honest I didn't notice a difference in my complexion after using it. It makes an excellent base for makeup though and feels lovely and moisturising on the skin. I much prefer the Vichy Aqualia Thermal Serum which is a Holy Grail product for me. Clarins Double Serum (30ml €69.50 approx, available in Clarins stockist nationwide). This was the first serum I ever used and I loved it however I never actually got around to repurchasing it. My skin looked more even and had a lovely glow to it. I think it's just because I am a product junkie that I never got around to buying a second bottle but it is definitely on my list. Lush Ro's Argan Body Conditioner (225g €19.95 available in Lush Dublin). I LOVE this stuff and have already repurchased a new pot. You simply use this like you would use your hair conditioner. Apply to wet skin whilst you are still in shower then rinse off. Once you get out of the shower just pat your skin dry and Ta Dah! you have beautiful soft skin. And it smells AMAZING!!!!. I have a full review of it so just click here (http://makeupbyrubysue.weebly.com/blog/lush-after-lush-ros-argan-body-conditioner). My favourite makeup product would have to be mascara so this is actually one product I do get to finish.
L'Oreal Voluminous Mascara (€11.50 approx available in pharmacies nationwide). This is a fantastic mascara perfect for adding volume without clumping. It is a staple in my personal and professional kit. Lancome Virtuóse Mascara (€27.50 approx, available at Lancome stockist nationwide). I firmly believe that Lancome make the best high end mascaras and always have at least one on the go. This is my all time favourite as it adds volume and a great curl to the last. Definitely will be repurchasing. So that's it...I can finally throw these all in the bin!!!!. Thanks for reading. Until next time....Be Happy!!!! Susie xxx

It's the end of January (Praise Jesus!!!) and nearly the weekend and I bet you would love to be able to treat yourself to something lovely after another tough week at work. BUT the bills are starting to fly in through your letter box including the massive credit card bill you ran up at Christmas. Well panic not my lovelies...here are my top five beauty treats under €5 (or there about). So go on spoil yourself a little...You deserve it after surviving the worst month of the year. First up is the Botanics All Bright Radiance Balm. I read about this last week over on Beaut.ie and picked it up Boots after the "glowing" review they gave it. This really is a star buy guys. The light fluid just melts onto your skin leaving you with a soft healthy glow. You can wear it on it's own to brighten up tired dull skin or under your makeup. I have been wearing it under my makeup and it gives a lovely luminescent finish to the skin. I would compare it a little to the Clarins Beauty Flash Balm and will definitely have a permanent place in my makeup kit. Also the ladies over at Beaut.ie have been using it as a liquid highlight. (Read their review here http://beaut.ie/2015/boots-botanics-radiance-balm-we-spy-a-dupe) It is currently on offer in Boots for €3.99 (regular RRP €7.99). This is one of my all time favourite treats. A bath bomb from Lush! cosmetics. When you drop one of these little gems into your bath water it instantly turns your bathroom into a haven of peace. As it starts to fizz away it releases all its beautiful fragrances, turns your bath into the most beautiful pool of coloured H2o and you start to relax immediately. Light a few candles, put on your favourite music, have your PJ's warming on the radiator and then just slip into your blissful bath with a nice glass of wine in hand....HEAVEN!!!! There are 100's to choose from...the only problem is which one to pick. Available in Lush Dublin & Cork The Nivea Lip Butters are a great little treat as they are so easy to get your hands on. They leave your lips super soft - perfect for this time of the year when we are all suffering with chapped sore lips. They come in 5 different flavours and you can pick them up in most pharmacies for about €3. Why not treat your sore chapped hands or poor tired feet. These brilliant little packs contain a pair of gloves (hands) or socks (feet) which you just slip on for 20mins. Then rinse off any excess product and you are left with beautifully soft hands & feet. You can pick them up in pharmacies, Penny's and I think some Euro stores nationwide. There are also different varieties available - I have seen Argan Oil ones aswell. If you fancy a little makeup treat then head to your nearest Catrice stand. This really is a fantastic brand and these lip glosses are just gorgeous. I saw Charlene Flanagan (http://www.charleneflanaganmakeup.com/) who is an amazing makeup artist recommending no. 30 Rose, Would You...? (a beautiful nude) to a friend so I thought to myself well if Charlene likes it then maybe so would I. Of course I cannot just buy one product so I picked up no. 20 Best Seller, Trust Teller (A Rose shade kinda "your lips but better") aswell . These are great glosses, non sticky and long wearing. I will definitely be picking up more. I cannot remember the proper price but I am nearly 100% sure they are around the €5 mark. And that's it. See you can treat yourself without breaking the bank. Now go buy yourself some pretty!
I hope you all have a fantastic weekend. BE HAPPY!!!! Susie xxx I usually wait to finish a product before writing a review however I am so in love with this body conditioner from Lush I just had to tell you about it straight away. I have had this on my wish list for a while now so was delighted to finally get my hands on it earlier this month. I will admit I'm not a huge fan of in- shower moisturiser but I had read such great things about this I soooo hoped it would live up to its hype. And I'm thrilled to say it did. Lush is an organic cosmetics company which use ethically sourced ingredients to make fresh handmade products. I love the packaging, the quirky name, the fun directions and full list of amazing moisturising ingredients listed on each pot. You simply use this like you would use your hair conditioner. Apply to wet skin whilst you are still in shower then rinse off. Once you get out of the shower just pat your skin dry and wallah you have beautiful soft skin. It is packed full of oils including Almond, Argan, Brazil Nut, Rose, Geranium & Lemon plus Shea Butter, Cupuacu Butter & Cocoa Butter to name a few. How could you not be soft using all of that!!! Even with all that oil & butters your skin won't feel oily after use. There can be a slight residue after patting dry but I just massage this into my skin. And now for my favourite part.... If you are a regular reader of my blogs you will know I will simply buy a product if it smells nice!!!! Well this is just simply DEVINE Lush use their Rose Jam fragrance to give this moisturiser the most amazing smell. It isn't overpowering but just leaves a delicate "Rose Jam" scent on your skin. It isn't cheap at €19.95 for a 225g pot but a little goes a long way and a tub will last you months. It is so quick and easy to use and there is not waiting to get dressed whilst your moisturiser to absorb.
I will definitely be repurchasing and already have started a new wish list for my next visit to Lush! What are your favourite Lush products? Let me know in the comments below. Until next time....Be Happy! Susie xxx I am in love love love with these two products. My lips suffer with the demon Irish weather all year round. If its not freezing cold, its raining and windy so I have the heat blasting in the house or the air conditioning blaring at work and low and behold we had 3 whole weeks of sunshine and none of use knew what to do...(why can't we have normal seasons like everyone else) so my poor auld lips chapped and cracked even though I was constantly rubbing lip salves, cream etc into them. I use a soft toothbrush to give them a scrub at night maybe once or twice a week before I go to bed and then apply a lip cream (Blistex Relief Cream is brilliant). However I was shopping in Dublin recently and I love Lush for their bath bombs so I decided to have a look around because they released a makeup range late last year and I hadn't tried it. And that's when I spotted these fab little pots of gorgeousness!!!! The Mint Julips Lip Scrub tastes just like Mint Chocolate (without the chip). You just apply a small amout to your finger and rub it all over your lips. It exfoliates away all the dead chapped, flaky skin and leaves you with smooth kissable lips...and then for the best bit...you can EAT whatever is left on your lips...YES yummy Mint Choc tasting sugar :). It is made from sugar, peppermint, vanilla and tagetes oil all which leave your lips moisturised and soft. The Honey Trap Lip Balm tastes like White Chocolate & Honey so complements the scrub beautifully. It helps soothe, moisturise and protect your lips. I cannot get enough of it. Both products are a must have especially if you love wearing lipstick and want it to go on smoothly and last longer but hate it when dry, chapped lips ruin your look. All Lush products are made fresh by hand using little or no preservatives and are not tested on animals. You should check out their shop on Grafton Street in Dublin for their full range of product.
