I am a bit fan of the Vichy Dermablend foundation & concealer so was excited to try out their new compact version. For those of you who have never heard of Dermablend - Well basically it is an award winning range of corrective foundation from Vichy. I have used the concealer for over a year now and it give's serious coverage for any blemishes or dark circles you may have. It will even cover tattoos and scars. However when it comes to foundation I generally prefer light/medium coverage and let my concealer do the hard work. But in saying that I do sometimes love a good full coverage for night time or when I really want a flawless finish to my skin. This is a cream foundation and can be applied with a sponge or brush. (I prefer using a brush). The trick with applying it is to go lightly. It is a full coverage foundation and if you apply it too heavy at the start it can be a little tricky to blend. So in light circular movements I blended it into my skin and watched as it erased any blemishes and redness I had. I was actually really surprised how light it felt on my skin. I had expected it to feel and look heavy but this wasn't the case. It dries to a matte finish but didn't cling to any dry patches on my skin and pretty much stayed flawless all day. This is a really brilliant foundation especially if you are looking for full coverage. I didn't have to use concealer with this either as it covers all blemishes. It lasts all day (Vichy claim up to 14 hours) and if you use the Dermablend setting powder you can extend it's lasting power by another 4 hours. I love the packaging also. It comes in a sleek black lacquered case with a large mirror perfect for your handbag. This is definitely going to be a permanent fixture in my makeup bag from now on. It is available in 5 shades and costs approx €22.50. What's your favourite full coverage foundation?

So I recently attended my first Blogger's Awards. Some of you amazing people nominated me in the Aussome Newcomer category and I was shortlist to the final 8. So off to Dublin to House on Leeson's Street I went with my sister Breda and my cousins Marina & Sinead. House is really beautiful and the Her.ie & Aussie ladies had the place looking fab. I got to meet some of the fantastic bloggers in my category including Melissa from Lipstick & Louboutins and Dee from La Belle Mama. I also had a great chat with Sonia from Irish Food Goddess. She landed in straight from work and still managed to look amazing We were treated to a BBQ and plenty of Prosecco DJ for the evening was the beautiful Vogue McFadden. I was nominated in the Most Aussome Newcomer Category and I got to meet a few of my fellow bloggers on the night. It was great to meet the ladies in person rather than just sending messages on twitter or Facebook. It wasn't long before we were chattin away like old friends. The very fabulous Dee from La Belle Mama won in our category and her blog was so deserving of it. She was a little over-whelmed but we were all delighted for her. I was also delighted that my fellow #ITWBN blogger Elisha from Along Came Pollly won the Aussie Readers Choice Awards. We had a fantastic evening and I really hope this will be the first of many award ceremonies I will be attending. I just want to say a huge thank you to all of you who voted for me...sometime I think I am just blabbing away to myself on here but there must be one or two of you reading my little blogs.
