If you have read my blogs before then you will know that I am a major fan of skin guru Caroline Hirons. On her advice I had already added an acid toner in the form of Clarins Gentle Exfoliator to my routine but she recommends you use two or three different types for maximum effect.
So once my acid toner is dry I then spray La Roche Posay Serozinc all over my face and neck morning and night. Serozinc is basically a Zinc Sulfate solution that purifies, heals and soothes any surface irritations that may appear on the skin such as spots and blemishes. It is great for helping to prevent breakouts and at only €10 it's a must have for anyone who suffers with problem skin. You can pick it up in La Roche Posay stockists nationwide. Tip: If you have acne have a look at their Effaclar range which is great or Vichy have a great product called Normaderm Night Detox.
I turned 35 in mid September and don't use a specific anti-ageing moisturiser or serum as I feel the acid toner is working hard enough at keeping my skin free of the dreaded wrinkles. My skincare routine has been the same now for nearly 2 months and I don't plan on making any drastic changes although I have been using the Clarins for quite a while so once I finish this bottle I might step it up a notch and invest in a stronger acid toner such as the Pixi Glow Tonic. The Clarins Gentle Exfoliator is available in Clarins stockists nationwide for €31.00. But the Nip+Fab Pads are here to stay for a while. They are available in Boots for €17.99. Oh and a handy little tip if you do invest in a tub of them: every few days turn your pot upside down so that the solution soaks through to the top pads.
