I posted the above photo a while back on Facebook and loads of you asked what lipstick I was wearing. It's L'Oreal's latest offering and is a new hybrid liquid lipstick/lip gloss. I bought the L'Oreal Extraordinaire by Colour Riche Lip Colour in 304 Ruby Opera. The packaging is a beautiful gold with a colour display on side and bottom (very like the YSL Glossy Stain). However this isn't a look at the actual product inside but the colours look pretty true to the actual product inside. It has quiet a strong sweet scent but not something I mind. It has a soft doe-footed applicator which is the perfect shape and size for a quick, neat and easy lip. And with sixteen shades in total ranging from nude/pinks to darker reds and plums there is something for everyone. These are an oil based product that has a super rich pigmented colour, is very comfortable to wear and glides on super smooth. It is really moisturising like a balm but is thick and opaque just like a lipstick but also has the shine of a gloss. The Bad News: Because I was off to a wedding for the day I really wanted my lipstick to last so I lined and filled in my entire lip with my MAC lip liner. I then applied my L'Oreal Extraordinaire Lip Colour. Before we had even left the house the lip colour had started to feather and bleed into the little fine lines around my mouth. This was a complete first for me. With all the lip products I own from balms to glosses to lipstick both drugstore and High End I have never experienced this problem. I took it off and started from scratch again but the same thing kept happening. By the time we arrived at the hotel I had to go straight to the bathroom to touch up and after every drink I nearly had to reapply. I got so annoyed in the end I just took it off and applied a balm I had in my bag. I know it's terrible..here I am again bashing a L'Oreal product but I was just so disappointed. Maybe it was just the Ruby colour. I might try a different shade and see would I have better luck. But for now my Ruby Opera will be going in the bottom of my makeup drawer. Have any of your tried it yet and had the same problem or did you totally love it? Let me know in the comments below. As always..Be Happy...Until next time Susie xxx
